Similarities:

  • Small masthead
  • Column style- text based(no images) 
  • Authoritative, persuasive tone
  • Subheading- outlines opinion 
  • Based on current affairs
  • 2-3 different comment articles 
Differences:
  • The language is more challenging in The Guardian then the Daily Mail
  • The Guardian is more factual and uses more statistics 
  • The Guardian is written for more educated people
